The sum is greater than its part
Equipped with ten years of experience working with online services, Jax employs a holistic approach to experience design, online marketing and interactive production.
She is a proponent of user centered design which is an approach that puts users at the center of the design process. Participatory design and co-design workshops are also areas of interest and Jax has experience in facilitating workshops with stakeholders and customers to help uncover new digital possibilities for products and services.
“The sum is greater than its part” speaks to the intimate relationships between the different areas of experience design and interactive and web development including: visual design, interaction design, branding, copy-writing, information architecture and strategy. Through an understanding of the goals, and expectations customers bring to your offerings, a better experience can be designed. After-all the experiences you provide your customers through every single touch dictates their perception of your brand.
Jax is currently undertaking a Masters by research at UTS researching user experience design as a holistic practice using “design” as an activity, a methodology and a philosophy.
She sees the activity of ‘design’ as a GESTALT GLUE that binds the creation and execution of user experiences on the web together.
She blogs about this subject on her UX Think blog.
